Alvin started with me throwing up after doing 8 reps of bodyweight squats… months later he is now a Ranked lifter by the WKC. He did it while working a 10pm-6am shift…if this guy can do it…so can you!!! I am mighty proud of this guy.

Photo of Franz, one of the most uncoordinated people who just successfully completed his 1st one hour jerk set after just two months of training. 37s reps in 60 minutes with solid lockouts…he’s not so uncoordinated anymore. Solid effort …and more importantly solid form. Apir!

Embracing the Summer Heat!

L3F Kettlebell Athletes embrace the heat by no other than sweating their asses out. This photo was taken 9:16 pm and people were relentlessly swinging, jerking and snatching which led to our thermostat to register at 37 degree celcius.

Double Kettlebell Press (32kg each)

I am tackling double presses for a month or two now as part of my Strong Sport Training for S-36 and found that this movement helps me a lot in being comfortable with a single 36kg kettlebell. Hopefully I can press the two 36kg Kettlebells very soon!

 

The Kettlebell Press is not only for the shoulders but  for the whole body. You cannot press a relatively heavy weight without you engaging other parts like the lats, legs, core , arms and even the chest. This takes practice though and I can speak from experience that it really works!

A 30 minute set of Long Cycle Jerks using the 24kg. This is the first time I will do such a set but this won’t certainly be my last. Solid workout.

251 reps.

Virtual Competition Results are out!

Last month L3F Kettlebell Gym was invited to participate in an international virtual competition. Kettlebell Martahon athletes from France and Australia also participated on the event.

…L3F congratulates the athletes who won the competition. The L3F system uses Kettlebell Marathon training as one of its many staples to develop one’s Kettlebell Skill, participating in such an event is a great way of learning how to improve in this area.
